Some people come into your life and completely shift your path—for the better. One trusted me with ten properties before I even proved myself.
The other challenged me to rise when the world was shutting down. Two very different men. One common gift: They saw something in me before I saw it in myself.
They say that in every chapter of life, there are people who don’t just inspire you—they shape you. At the beginning of my sales journey, I met two such individuals. They didn’t just influence how I sold. They helped define who I became.
The first is Sir Noel—my very first Filipino-American investor and client. But more than that, he was the first person who truly trusted me. Not with one property, but ten.
He came from humble beginnings in Batangas, arriving in the U.S. with just $40 and a dream. Today, he owns a FedEx Ground fleet, dialysis centers, and multiple high-value real estate properties here and in the Philippines.
But what struck me most was not what he built—it was how he stayed grounded. He still calls his mother Inay, speaks softly, dresses humbly, and gives back quietly. He even helped fellow Filipinos find jobs and sponsored one on a student visa. When he got sick, I prayed harder than I ever had. Because to me, he wasn’t just a client. He was family. Through him, I learned what true service and quiet leadership look like.
Then came Sir Rex—whom I met during the pandemic, via Zoom. While the world stood still in fear, his words moved me to act. He challenged us to rise—to turn adversity into opportunity.
When many gave up, I showed up. I created structure, stayed motivated, and pulled others with me. Sir Rex taught me to stay curious, think bigger, and never stop learning.
He inspired the mantra I still live by:
“Susuka pero hindi susuko.”
(I may stumble, but I will not give up.)
His guidance turned what felt like my darkest years… into the beginning of my brightest ones.
These two men—different in their paths, but alike in their quiet strength—showed me what influence really means. And I carry their lessons with me every single day.
My hope? That one day, I can be someone else’s “Sir Noel” or “Sir Rex.”
Because our stories become powerful… when they help others rewrite their own.
Here’s how their influence changed the way I approach work, service, and life:
